We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a clinic setting. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including pediatric and family medicine clinics.
Responsibilities:- Triage patients and assist with their needs based on acuity.
- Provide quality nursing care and medication administration.
- Administer immunizations/vaccines to specified patients.
- Monitor patient reactions and side-effects.
- Assist the care team with pre-visit planning for high-risk patients.
- Ensure implementation of plans of care.
- Behave as a role-model and source of nursing guidance to medical assistants and phlebotomists.
- Assist with prepping patients as needed and providing patient education.
- Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
- Ensure proper sterilization procedures using germicides, sterilizers, or autoclave.
- Ensure departmental adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
- Maintain health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile.
- Implement standing orders.
- Check equipment, logs, and medical kits. Assist with ordering medical supplies, medications, and vaccines.
- 1-2 years of recent experience in a healthcare setting, ideally ambulatory and/or pediatric and family medicine.
- Must have experience with age-appropriate immunizations.
- Active New York State LPN license.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- High School Diploma.
- Skilled in Phlebotomy and EKGs.
