Warehouse Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the shipping and receiving of materials and components, ensuring accurate inventory management, and facilitating the distribution of items to various departments within the organization. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing efficient warehousing processes, including the secure storage and accountability of materials
  • Coordinating the movement of repairable items to and from vendors and storage facilities
  • Ensuring prompt and precise processing of incoming shipments and repairs
  • Addressing and reporting any issues related to shipping or receiving to management
  • Adhering to safety protocols and departmental standards
  • Acquiring critical parts during off-hours as necessary
  • Maintaining accurate digital inventory records and resolving vendor discrepancies
  • Ensuring that all company materials are properly accounted for and organized according to industry standards
  • Preparing necessary materials for daily operational readiness and redistribution
  • Complying with regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials, including employee training and awareness
  • Maintaining a valid driving record under company insurance policies
  • Reporting to work consistently and punctually
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of all relevant procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring proper maintenance and secure storage of vehicles and warehouse equipment
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Internet)
  • Experience with hazardous materials preferred; training will be provided
  • Forklift certification is advantageous; prior experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SIDA access within the first 90 days of employment
  • Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities
  • Good problem-solving capabilities
  • Willingness to work occasional odd hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • No significant moving violations in the past three years
  • Capability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate trailers and various equipment
  • Must hold a valid passport
  • Must successfully pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screening
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or warehouse logistics
