Correctional Officer

At South West Multi County Correction Center, we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Correctional Officers. As a key member of our facility, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and inmates.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $24.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour night shift differential. This exceptional compensation package reflects the importance of this role in ensuring the well-being of our community.

• Supervise and monitor inmates to ensure a secure and stable environment
• Enforce facility rules and regulations with fairness and consistency
• Conduct routine inspections of cells and common areas
• Escort inmates to and from designated areas within the facility
• Assist in the implementation of rehabilitative programs for inmates
• Document and report any incidents or unusual behavior
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of inmates

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a correctional facility is not required; all training provided
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures accurately
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
