We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to join our team at Johnson C. Smith University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching part-time, semester-long contracts in the areas of Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Cultural Studies, and Interdisciplinary Studies.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and upper-division courses in the designated fields
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi and lesson plans
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Be available for out-of-class consultation and respond to student inquiries
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. A strong teaching philosophy and experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to teach special topics in emerging fields and topics.
