Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at MemorialCare Health System. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for coordinating mammography and diagnostic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and attend to patients' physical and emotional needs before, during, and after exams to ensure proper patient care and a positive examination experience.
  • Produce high-quality radiographs in a timely manner to provide accurate and useful medical information to radiologists and patients' physicians.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, Medical Center staff, M.D. offices, and patients' families to ensure proper guest relations.
  • Utilize R.I.S. and related interfaces to contribute to the integration and success of automated patient care goals.
  • Prepare equipment for procedures, including cleanliness of exam areas and equipment, and participate in sterile diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Participate in patient flow process to ensure timely and medically efficient patient care.
  • Assist with training of Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) students and new R.T. personnel to provide quality education, instruction, and orientation to the Radiology Department.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and clerical duties required for each exam to conform with Joint Commission requirements and accurate billing procedures.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a full-time Radiologic Technologist.
  • Graduate of CAHEA (JRCERT and AMA) approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Current licensure required for specific area of expertise (CRT, Mammography).
  • ARRT and breast sonography certification preferred.
  • BLS from AHA required.
