The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is a key member of the multidisciplinary team at Serenity Spring Senior Living at Scandia Village, providing expert nutrition consultation and education to patients and their families. As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist, the RDN will work closely with healthcare providers to identify and address nutrition-related problems, chronic disease management, and prevention and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to assess, diagnose, and develop evidence-based nutrition interventions for patients with complex medical, surgical, and biochemical histories.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients of varying acuity levels, including management of enteral nutrition initiation and advancement when delegated authority by the primary service.
  • Work independently to manage resources in a cost-effective manner, participate in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts, and oversee the experiences for dietetic interns.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of organizational policies and guidelines related to nutrition care.
  • Maintain professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification.
  • Experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
