Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

At Sevita, we provide comprehensive in-home, center-based, and school-based skilled therapy services for infants, children, and young adults with medically complex, developmental, educational, or other needs.

We offer physical, occupational, speech-language, and feeding therapy, as well as augmentative and alternative communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address articulation/phonology, delayed language, social communication, stuttering, feeding/swallowing disorders, voice problems, and augmentative and alternative communication.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate speech-language therapy with other therapeutic activities in school, daycare, or community settings.
  • Educate and train patients' families and caregivers on how to accommodate and care for their loved ones.
  • Evaluate patients' home, daycare, or school environments to identify areas for improvement to support their needs and capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Master of Science/Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Preferred: Pediatric experience and Certification in Fluency (CF).
