Dignity Health - St. Mary Medical Center, established in 1923 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, is a nonprofit acute care hospital with 389 beds located in Long Beach, California. Key ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:
- Academic Medical Staff Physicians are required to be members of the Medical Staff at St. Mary Medical Center and must hold a valid medical license in California, along with current certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Subspecialty board certification may be preferred or required based on specific role descriptions within the Department of Medical Education or the Hospital.
- Academic Medical Staff Physicians should possess a passion for teaching, learning, program management, and academic innovation as outlined by the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
- A minimum of one year in a comparable position or completion of a Chief Resident year post-residency.
- Graduation from a recognized medical school in the U.S., Canada, or internationally (as acknowledged by the Medical Board of California).
- Possession of a full, unrestricted medical license in California.
- Compliance with St. Mary Medical Staff privileges credentialing requirements.
- Board eligibility or certification by the recognized American Board of Medical Specialties.
Hourly rate: $115.71.
