Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to acquire and refine the competencies necessary for a Pharmacist. All responsibilities must be executed under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist. The incumbent is expected to perform all tasks safely, adhering to corporate policies and applicable laws.Key Responsibilities
- Gather customer and prescription details, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.
- Process customer prescriptions accurately.
- Provide assistance to customers regarding health-related inquiries and offer healthcare advice.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and utilize reference materials to obtain information about prescriptions and resolve any arising issues.
- Familiarize yourself with Rite Aid's digital systems; input customer and prescription information into the database.
- Ensure efficient service in the Pharmacy department by assisting customers and managing the cash register.
- Stay informed about over-the-counter medications.
- Understand and adhere to the company's policies and procedures.
- Help maintain the Pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock reports, and customer notifications.
- Conduct quality assurance tasks in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Follow the policies outlined in the Retail Hazardous Waste Program.
Required Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.
