Introduction

North Florida Surgical Pavilion, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician PRN to join our team.

As a Radiology Technician PRN, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes.

Under the direction of your Physician, you will prepare patients for exams and procedures, assess patient condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures, and assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling your procedures according to your physician's preference card.

You will also test and monitor your equipment for proper working condition, document records and other forms, accurately adhering to approved policies/procedures, and confirm that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.

Communication is key in this role, as you will need to communicate information about your patient's status to other staff responsible for your patient's care.

Qualifications for this role include a graduate degree from an accredited school of radiology, 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting, certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and a State Radiology Technician license.
