About the Role

The YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Exercise Instructor to lead engaging and safe fitness classes for our members. As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, promoting a positive and inclusive environment, and contributing to the overall success of our wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and lead group exercise classes that meet the needs and interests of our members
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for classes and equipment
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and class formats
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to members and guests
  • Collaborate with other staff members to promote wellness programs and services
Requirements
  • Current certifications in group exercise instruction and CPR/AED
  • Ability to establish relationships with staff and members
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
  • Physical ability to conduct classes and activities relating to fitness
