About the Role

The Radiologic Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrating thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality, the technologist applies professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures, educates, and responds to questions or concerns. Ensuring an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education, and principles of physical/functional growth and development, the technologist demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.

Qualifications

  • Required: One of the following: RO (State Radiography License) AND ARRT-RROT (Temp State Radiography License) AND must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration.
  • Desired: One year in general radiography.
