Role Overview
The primary responsibility of the Accountant is to efficiently oversee accounts receivable operations. This includes generating invoices, processing bank receipts, managing intercompany transactions, and maintaining audit schedules. Additionally, the Accountant ensures adherence to company policies, supports audit processes, and contributes to the month-end and year-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Accounts Receivable: Handle the organization's receivables, ensuring timely and precise processing of invoices and following up on overdue accounts.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and standards by verifying billing requests against relevant supporting documents such as contracts and forms.
- Financial Reporting: Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of major subsidiaries.
- Operational Support: Assist with Accounts Receivable operational tasks, including billings, reconciliations, and receipting.
- Accrued Income Management: Oversee the maintenance of accrued income schedules and monitor project billing milestones.
- Credit Control Assistance: Support credit control efforts by closely following up on outstanding debts.
- Audit Liaison: Collaborate with auditors for various audits throughout the year.
- Intercompany Billing Preparation: Prepare intercompany billings and review monthly balance sheet schedules and annual audit schedules.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations for key accounts.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist the Senior Accountant/Financial Manager with any other related matters as needed.
Qualifications
- A degree in Accountancy or a professional accountancy qualification (minimum ACCA level 2 completed).
- 3-5 years of commercial experience, preferably with full set experience.
- Proficient in systems/applications and Microsoft Office (experience with SAP B1 is preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes and challenges.
- Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
