Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Forecasting Analyst to join our team at Summer Fridays LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forecasting and demand planning, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining accurate forecasts.

The Senior Forecasting Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining channel and SKU level forecasts for select accounts, with a focus on forecast accuracy to maximize sales and optimize in-stocks. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from data and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop and maintain accurate monthly demand forecasts at the category, collection, and SKU level
  • Ensure forecast assumption accuracy through analysis of base business trends, promotional activity, new launch volume, VM & retrofit updates, channel expansion, and seasonal volume
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and DTC teams to gather inputs and align on retail sales and sell-in plans
  • Collaborate with Ops/Supply Planning to ensure an executable supply plan is developed to meet forecast requirements
  • Work closely with Ops/Supply Planning to understand known supply constraints or excess inventory risks to communicate with broader sales team and develop allocation plans
  • Measure forecast accuracy with the goal to maximize sales while optimizing inventory levels across retailers
  • Own new launch forecast for respective accounts to support all marketing and promotional strategies
  • Analyze historical sales data and future programming to achieve continuous improvement in demand plan accuracy
  • Update and circulate weekly and monthly business performance reports to key stakeholders
  • Participate in annual budget and reforecast process
  • Maintain retail sales data integrity through third-party platform

Requirements

  • 3-5 years forecasting/demand planning experience in Beauty or CPG preferred
  • BA/BS or 5 years equivalent relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with the aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from data
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities at once
  • Flexible, team player
  • Must be based in Los Angeles, CA
