We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our Cardiovascular Practice team at Corewell Health. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Echocardiography Specialist will perform various cardiac testing procedures, including stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and transthoracic echocardiograms. You will work closely with medical staff to prepare study materials and provide calculated data for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient charts and selects the most appropriate procedural methodology for each case.
  • Performs ultrasound tests tailored to the specific needs of each patient, utilizing critical thinking skills to assess calculation validity.
  • Documents exam performance in electronic medical records and hospital financial systems.
  • Participates in departmental meetings, educational sessions, and quality assurance activities.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding procedures, equipment, and related activities.
  • Cultivates continuous education efforts in Cardiac Sonography, demonstrating professional commitment through membership in local and national societies.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in echocardiography, including two-dimensional, Doppler, color Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), and stress echos.
  • Registration credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
