Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Perdue Farms. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of reliability systems and processes within our manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage reliability programs and activities to ensure maximum availability of key assets, utilities, and support equipment.
  • Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
  • Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement of production equipment, processes, and process controls.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to develop long-term equipment maintenance strategies and operator basic care.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the site, including field application of precision maintenance techniques and training of maintenance supervisors and craftsmen.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of reliability experience within an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in mid-sized manufacturing companies in a similar industry.
  • Experience developing asset strategies, including time-based inspection/replace and condition-based tasks.
  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Strong technical expertise in applying Precision Maintenance techniques in industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Reliability, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Advanced degree in this or related field is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the food industry.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil analysis.
  • CMRP or CRL Certifications.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma ideal.
  • Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) and advanced skills in basic personal computer software.
