Commissioning Specialist

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Specialist I to join our growing Commissioning team. As a Commissioning Specialist I, you will be responsible for coordinating, performing, and overseeing detailed field commissioning services, assessments, and studies for various facilities and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate commissioning plans, write commissioning specifications, and develop commissioning installation checklists and functional test procedures.
- Verify and validate commissioned systems controls and equipment, and document the commissioning process.
- Develop final commissioning reports and systems manuals.
- Coordinate with owners and contractors, and lead project meetings.
- Travel to project/client locations, including international travel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a 2-year Technical Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
- Practical commissioning, controls, or testing experience.
- Optional experience: HVAC controls systems and protocols, construction administration, LEED/Green Globes/Guiding Principles Compliance.
- Ambitious and flexible individual with a talent for efficiency and process improvement.
- Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to generate accurate, detailed reports, and read and understand building drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with AutoCad and/or Revit.
