About This Role

This is a key position within our development squad, responsible for managing the scrum process and ensuring the delivery of exceptional product quality and timely, predictable project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Agile methodology to manage the scrum process with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Coordinate and communicate with multi-functional teams to ensure delivery on track.
  • Understand Agile tools, techniques, principles, and values, and apply this knowledge to the squad.
  • Coach PO and squad to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog with refined user stories.
  • Collaborate on user story, epic, theme definition, and documentation with product owner and squad members.
  • Balance delivery timeframes and continuous iteration to incorporate customer feedback.
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums sessions to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Provide role-based coaching and facilitate coaching sessions with the squad.
  • Coach the squad to consider how squad/product vision affects other squads.
  • Create a safe environment for all ceremonies to encourage active participation.
  • Facilitate and mediate conflicts within the squad.
  • Ensure Jira reflects the current state of work and coach the squad on Agile framework and attitude.
  • Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.
  • Ensure accurate and clear communications to collaborators with concise metrics and updates.
  • Project Management, Project Planning, Release Planning.
  • Be an Agile Coach to squad team members through effective approach to support them on squad and tribe goals.
  • Ability to ensure the accurate use of scrum processes.
  • Manage implementation projects throughout the entire roadmap lifecycle using Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to shield the squad from outside distractions and remove squad impediments or roadblocks.
  • Drives maturity of security attitude by proactively identifying meaningful issues and control gaps in current processes.
  • Act as the point of escalation for risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Engage with leadership, partners, and collaborators frequently on the status of key initiatives.
  • Build meaningful relationships with squad members and resolve most issues.
  • Be an enthusiastic change agent and peer.
  • Accept change and use it to drive continuous learning and process improvements.
  • Continuously seek and act on feedback received to bring about positive changes.
  • Understand both the squad's overall capacity and impediments that impact individual members of the squad.
Talents Needed For Success
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the subject area of project management.
  • PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent required.
  • Expert skills in Atlassian Jira and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5 years demonstrable experience in Agile Project Management with 2+ years Scrum Master experience.
  • Knowledge of financial services, clearing corporations/depository function, brokerage operations, and associated regulatory requirements a plus.
  • Familiarity with risk management, strategic planning, or scenario planning concepts.
