Job Summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our night warehouse operations and personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of product for delivery to customers the following day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding Warehouse Operations: Establish and monitor security procedures and protocols to protect warehouse operations and contents.
  • Maintaining Warehouse Condition: Inspect equipment, issue work orders for repair, and requisition replacement parts to maintain the physical condition of the warehouse.
  • Employee Management: Assist with employee schedules, workloads, and productivity, ensuring that all picking, loading, and replenishing are done correctly and completed nightly.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements, and cover for any other area of the warehouse as needed.
  • Leadership and Development: Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Motivation: Demonstrate leadership and motivational skills to drive team performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Inventory Control: Possess knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing best practices in distribution, with a focus on receiving and inventory control.
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately complete tasks with attention to detail.
  • Communication and Organization: Possess strong communication and organization skills, with a superior work ethic.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Demonstrate judgment and decision-making ability to make informed decisions and solve problems.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with a wide range of staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Process Improvement: Experience with process improvement and knowledge of best practices within receiving and inventory control.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
