About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Wellpath. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and document them on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) while following safety principles, infection control techniques, and the six rights of medication administration.
  • Adhere to Facility policies, Pharmacy Board regulations, and proper infection control techniques during medication administration, including the use of universal precautions.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities related to medication administration, such as data collection and medication audits.
  • Report adverse patient medication reactions to a supervisor immediately and reorder/replace medications and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and rights, as well as adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of health system and department documents.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience in a medical environment preferred.
  • Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided and have current CPR Certification.
