At Millennium Health LLC, we are a recognized specialty laboratory with over a decade of expertise in medication monitoring and drug testing services. Our mission is to assist healthcare providers in overseeing the use of prescription medications and illicit substances, thereby enhancing clinical decision-making for millions of individuals facing chronic pain, mental health issues, and substance use disorders.
Role Summary: The Specimen Collector plays a vital role in our organization. As a representative of Millennium Health, this position is responsible for delivering outstanding care and exceptional service to patients, healthcare providers, and our laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens from patients.
- Process and package specimens for shipping.
- Act as a liaison between the clinic and the laboratory.
- Document patient details, physician orders, and relevant laboratory information.
- Address specimen-related concerns regarding billing or patient information in the ordering system.
- Manage and maintain inventory of collection supplies on-site.
- Conduct observed collections for Millennium Health specimens when necessary.
- Travel between multiple facilities may be required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a medical role directly supporting patients.
- 2+ years of customer service experience may substitute for medical experience.
- Proficient in using smartphones and computers.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is essential.
- Familiarity with medical insurance/billing and/or knowledge of medications and diagnostic codes is advantageous.
- Commitment to adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, and compliance policies and standards.
- Ability to maintain administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity measures.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Physical demands include sitting (90%), walking (5%), standing (5%), and lifting up to 20 lbs.
