We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Ripley Nursing & Rehab Center. As a Nurse Leader, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our residents and ensuring their highest attainable level of functioning.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing, supporting medical care as directed by the medical staff.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents.
- Perform daily nursing operations of a specific unit/wing, ensuring residents' needs are met.
- Administer prescribed medications, provide treatments, and ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
- Observe residents' reactions to medications and treatments, and report changes in their condition to the supervisor and attending physician.
- Maintain residents' medical records, providing education to residents and families regarding care.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing CNAs, assigning daily work assignments to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring safe work practices and proper infection control techniques.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program, ensuring follow-up occurs, and report accurately to the oncoming shift Charge Nurse regarding changes in resident status and follow-up needs.
- Current license by the State Board of Nursing as an RN.
- Ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, as work schedules will change on a daily basis.
- Able to work intimately with residents, physicians, and staff.
- Experience in the long-term care setting preferred.
- Capable of working to prescribed nursing standards.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
