Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse in alignment with the broader organizational policies. This role emphasizes the efficiency and precision of inventory management as products move in and out of the facility. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with manufacturing teams, maintenance staff, warehouse employees, and suppliers to address and resolve various inventory challenges. Key responsibilities include supervising material handlers and contractor teams while ensuring customer satisfaction is met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads, educates, and provides constructive feedback to guarantee that receiving and restocking processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and safely, adhering to established protocols.
  • Supervises and directs contractor personnel.
  • Manages stock levels and makes critical decisions regarding inventory oversight.
  • Oversees the kitting and staging operations.
  • Ensures compliance with positive materials identification (PMI) procedures.
  • Analyzes material and labor trends to enhance material planning.
  • Maintains standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety.
  • Addresses health, safety, and security concerns.
  • Handles customer feedback and inquiries.
  • Acts as the primary contact for escalated customer service issues, collaborating with management to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Identifies surplus and outdated inventory for the Material Review Board (MRB) and coordinates the disposal of obsolete items with surplus vendors.
  • Manages Zone Stores and prepares monthly reconciliation and expense reports.
  • Drives initiatives for inventory optimization and develops relevant performance metrics.
  • Oversees warehouse involvement in the plant repairable process to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinates logistics with delivery services.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience in Warehouse or Inventory Management, Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, or related Procurement fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in SAP Materials Management (MM) module.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications.
  • Possesses or is able to obtain 49 CFR 172 DOT certification for hazardous materials shipping, forklift operation certification, and Radiation Worker Safety Certification for PMI testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • General understanding of contracting, compliance, and business-related risks.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and Source to Pay applications.
