Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Non-Perishable Food and General Merchandise operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, appealing merchandise presentation, and quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the store, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure a safe working environment and provide protection for company assets
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of associates
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary business school training preferred
- Minimum three years of retail store experience, including one to two years as a Department Head/Assistant Manager
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures, inventory management, and food handling regulations
- Ability to read and interpret operating statements and identify corrective actions
