As a Basic Emergency Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse. Your contributions will help shape individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalized care plans for patients.
- Gather, document, and relay essential patient information, monitoring their evolving health status.
- Ensure the cleanliness, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of medical trays and equipment in line with established protocols.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, adhering to job responsibilities and organizational policies.
- Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED: Preferred
- Associate's or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience: Preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Required
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Required
- Valid Driver's License and must be at least 21 years of age: Required in CA
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Technician (NEMT): Required
- Certified Ambulance Driver (CAD): Required
- California DMV Medical Examiner (DMVME): Required
