We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Professional to join our team as an Outreach Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, sign-on bonus, and opportunities for professional development.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide athletic training services and administrative tasks for JAG Physical Therapy outreach sites. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training, state licensure, and adherence to the standards of practice and ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for contracted organizations
- Provide AT services for athletic events and competition
- Create and maintain a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
- Coordinate, manage, and implement medical and risk management for athletes
- Act as workers' compensation case manager and submit insurance information
- Document injury, illness, treatment, and rehabilitation in accordance with JAG Physical Therapy policy and state licensure standards
- Develop and implement educational programs on health and fitness topics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program)
- Maintain BOC certification and 50 CEUs per certification period
- Licensed by the State of New Jersey as an Athletic Trainer
- NJ Department of Education clearance and current BLS certification
- Maintain personal liability insurance and flexibility to adjust to fluid situations
Benefits:
- Competitive pay: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
- Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus, including relocation reimbursement up to $2,500
