San Francisco, California, United States Abridge Al, Inc Full time
About Abridge Al, Inc

We are a fast-growing organization driven by our mission to bring understanding and follow-through to every medical conversation. Our culture focuses on doing things differently in a legacy system - prioritizing patients over the system, outcomes over billing, and the end-user experience over hospital administrators' mandates.

What We Do:

  • We are engineers, scientists, designers, and health policy experts from diverse backgrounds who come together to transform the industry dominated by EHRs and enterprise into a consumer-driven experience.
  • We prioritize strong ideas, loosely held, and place a high value on growth mindsets. We push each other to grow and expose each other to the latest developments in our respective fields.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop cutting-edge machine learning models for medical NLP, focusing on conversation summarization, evidence extraction, outcome prediction, evaluation techniques, and experimentation.
  2. Collaborate with the research community by sharing and publishing original research papers.
  3. Work closely with clinicians to gather real-time feedback and refine our models accordingly.
  4. Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance of our models.
  5. Analyze data to understand the behavior of our models and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in machine learning and natural language processing, as demonstrated through publications and a graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with deep learning libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Jax, Tensorflow) and platforms, multi-GPU training, and statistical analyses of observational and experimental data.
  • Strong programming skills with proven experience crafting, prototyping, and delivering machine learning solutions into production.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $220,000 - $320,000 per year.
  • Flexible/Unlimited PTO - Salaried team members can take off as much approved time off as they need, plus 13 paid holidays.
