Position Summary

We are in search of a Procurement Supervisor to manage all facets of material acquisition for production. This position is crucial in ensuring that purchase orders are submitted promptly to our vendors, monitoring inventory levels, and addressing shortages effectively. You will oversee the complete ordering process, nurturing strong relationships with both suppliers and the production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee material and equipment inventory management
  • Timely creation and submission of purchase orders to suppliers
  • Monitor and assess inventory levels
  • Coordinate orders and consolidate purchases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Analyze proposals and current pricing related to purchases and inventory
  • Prepare reports for senior management
  • Collaborate closely with finance and production departments
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partners
  • Coordinate production scheduling for standard products

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Procurement, or equivalent ASCM certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement Management
  • Experience in custom fabrication or manufacturing within the energy sector
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting and procurement management
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Schedule and Environment:

  • This is a full-time exempt role, with an expected workload of 40 hours or more per week

Work Setting

  • This position requires working in various environments, including office settings, warehouses, and production facilities. The Procurement Supervisor will typically work from the office three days a week as part of a hybrid schedule. Attendance at mandatory meetings and training sessions is expected.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying may be required
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for frequent typing and handling
