Surgical Technologist Job Description

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing the operating room, setting up the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment
  • Provide the surgeon with appropriate instrumentation and equipment
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery
  • Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts
  • Keep records of use of Steam Sterilizer
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred
  • 1+ years of related work experience
  • BLS within 6 months of hire
