The Staff Pad seeks a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our Las Vegas, New Mexico location.

About the Role:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions, including illnesses, infections, and injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
  • Perform routine procedures such as suturing, wound care, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in family medicine.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and support the professional development of team members.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Mexico.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a family medicine or primary care setting preferred.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of primary care principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
