About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Surgery Coordinator at Duly Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal staff, ensuring a positive experience throughout the scheduling process.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, scheduling staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of procedures and surgeries.
  • Verify patient information, coordinate pre-op testing, and schedule lab and other testing as needed to ensure timely and accurate preparation for procedures.
  • Act as a single point of contact for internal staff and external inquiries, providing clear and concise information to patients and families.
  • Prepare and distribute essential paperwork for referral coordinators and facilities, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify daily doctor's schedules and distribute to appropriate personnel, maintaining up-to-date information and ensuring efficient communication.
  • Maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accurate charging and processing of procedures.
  • Provide coverage and support to colleagues as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach and flexibility.
  • Track case volume and direct cases to facilities as directed by the management team, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of experience in surgery scheduling, telephone, computer, and customer service preferred.
  • Strong medical terminology, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs and adapt to changing technology.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
