Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Maintenance team at Eastern Metal Framing of NJ. As a Machinist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of our metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various machine tools, including manual milling, turning, and grinding machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to produce complex parts.
  • Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assemble and fit parts to make and repair shafting, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of production and/or small lot machining experience.
  • Proficiency in various machining operations, including manual milling, turning, and grinding.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, tool design, and construction.
  • Ability to work from prints and sketches, and understand dimensions and required tolerances.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds.
