Job Summary

The Financial Analyst II is responsible for the accurate, complete, and timely processing of financial transactions, thorough analyses of financial account activities, and other monthly analytical closing activities.

This position also requires providing detailed responses to inquiries from various departments and providing supporting documentation and insight for the financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and update moderately complex financial analyses and reports via review of financial activity and communication with key contacts in other departments; prepare financial entries that support accurate and complete financial statements; maintain all necessary support.
  • Prepare detailed financial account reconciliations via analysis and review of financial activity to ensure accuracy and completeness of amounts/balances.
  • Review monthly financial statements and balance sheet activity to identify unusual trends or variances and provide detailed explanations for significant items observed.
  • Research and respond to any questions that arise from executive or department management during the financial statement review process.
  • Ensure internal control documentation as well as department policies and procedures are updated as needed based on changes in financial processes.
  • Assist with providing information and responding to inquiries from the Company's Internal and External Audit functions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in an industry accounting, public accounting, or internal auditing role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Professional Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or CPA candidate preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • SAP enterprise software and/or Business Objects reporting software preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEC requirements, GAAP, and new accounting pronouncements.
  • Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion.
