Job Overview

JRC Incorporated, a nationwide roofing and construction company, is seeking a skilled Service Estimator Inspector to join their team. As a Service Estimator Inspector, you will be responsible for visiting sites to attain survey measurements, notes, and needed materials for jobs, working closely with the service and sales team to provide accurate information in the creation of proposals, and utilizing surveyed details to prepare takeoffs/estimates of costs of materials, labor, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to gather survey measurements and notes
  • Collaborate with the service and sales team to create accurate proposals
  • Prepare takeoffs/estimates of costs of materials, labor, and equipment
  • Estimate costs for service work and preventative maintenance
  • Identify and assess roof maintenance issues
  • Perform proper roof repairs to maintain warranties, as needed
  • Communicate with owners, property managers, etc. to discuss scope of work

Requirements:

  • Availability to travel the U.S. to complete roof surveys
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and people skills
  • Ability to field walk projects, climb ladders, and navigate construction sites safely
  • Understanding of construction and specification-driven bidding processes a plus
  • Ability to read/interpret plans and specifications
  • Computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel)
  • On-Screen, Take-Off, and Bid Estimating software experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license - in good standing
  • Experience estimating steep and low-slope roof systems is a plus
  • Experience with metal working skills used in roofing
