Role Overview

As a Regional Sustainability Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing stakeholder engagement, advancing sustainability objectives, and achieving organizational success. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Sustainability, your focus will be on driving reductions in carbon emissions, energy consumption, and water usage to align with the company's sustainability targets for 2030. You will implement the regional climate action strategy, standardize processes, and enhance capabilities across Kerry's manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Integrated Operations Leadership (Manufacturing, Engineering, & QSHE) to ensure that manufacturing sites possess the necessary capabilities and programs to meet environmental sustainability objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive suite of initiatives, establish target adoption rates, and lead the implementation across Kerry's manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on environmental sustainability and oversee the adoption of best practice policies, procedures, and standards that promote continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside site leadership to perform maturity assessments related to Kerry's Performance Management System and evaluate gaps in the ISO50001 Energy Management System for potential future application.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor, track, and report on sustainability impacts within the regional opportunity pipeline.
  • Contribute to the regional strategy aimed at continuously enhancing environmental sustainability across manufacturing sites.
  • Advocate for and promote long-term sustainability best practices.
  • Identify, collaborate with, and integrate Sustainability champions within Kerry's manufacturing network.
  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs and demands.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing focused on efficiency improvements and/or continuous enhancement, preferably within the food and beverage sector.
  • Degree in engineering (preferred), environmental sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with energy, steam, air, refrigeration, and/or water system designs.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify actionable projects that yield results.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy and/or water mass balance creation.
  • Proven experience managing ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects to achieve overarching goals.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Compensation Information

The typical salary range for this position is between $105,129 and $159,134 annually, influenced by various factors such as education, work experience, certifications, and location. In addition to competitive pay, Kerry provides a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and retirement contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
