Stewarding Supervisor

The Steward Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Schedule and supervise the Stewarding team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Train and develop stewarding associates to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of all storage, preparation, and cooking areas and equipment to ensure that they are kept in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment to provide clean and sanitized dishware, glass, and silver.
• Supervise and sort dishware, glassware, silverware, service wares, pots, pans, and utensils to ensure that they are stored and used correctly.
• Monitor and operate floor cleaning equipment to maintain resilient floor surfaces.
• Ensure the removal of all trash from kitchen areas and operate garbage disposal and trash compactor.
• Maintain control over all dishware, glass, silver, cookware, and service equipment inventories.
• Assist in food service set up of banquet areas prior to functions.
• Supervise and perform breakdown of all food service materials and equipment after functions.
• Attend and conduct required department meetings to stay informed about in-house activities, promotions, and events.
• Lead the team weekly with individual assignments and adjustments to business levels.

• Prior stewarding experience is required.
• 2+ years of stewarding experience is preferred.
• High School or GED is required.
• ServSafe Certification is required at the time of employment.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Office 365.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 25lbs.
• Ability to bend and reach repeatedly.
• Ability to walk and move around for the duration of the scheduled shift.
