Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse Specialist to join our team at Summerville Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications and nutrients, and provide care to newborns in the NICU
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medical care to newborns
  • Provide round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborns
  • Operate complex NICU equipment to treat at-risk newborns
  • Perform life-sustaining care and ensure infants are breathing and maturing properly
  • Communicate with and educate parents on day-to-day operations and home-care procedures
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
