MedTech/Caregiver

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MedTech/Caregiver to join our team at Orchard Ridge Assisted Living. As a MedTech/Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

• Assist residents with medication management, including administering medications and monitoring side effects
• Provide personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with morning and bedtime routines, including assistance with dressing and toileting
• Provide oral care, including brushing teeth and providing denture care
• Support residents with skin care, including wound care and pressure sore prevention
• Assist with meal preparation and serving, including queuing and assistance with eating
• Provide safe transfers, including using gait belts, sit-to-stand, and Hoyer Lift equipment
• Accurately obtain and record vital signs, reporting unusual vital signs to the shift lead/charge nurse
• Respond to emergencies, including resident emergency call system
• Encourage socialization and participation in community activities
• Report concerns to the charge nurse and chart such concerns in the electronic MAR

• MedTech Certificate (required for MedTech, not for caregiver)
• CPR, First Aid, CNA not required but is a plus
• Understanding of electronic documentation or the ability to learn basic computer skills
• Familiarity with typical equipment used in a clinical setting, such as Hoyer Lift, Sit to Stand, transfers (experience a plus but not required, we will train you)

Orchard Ridge operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; operational needs of the facility may require you to be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the residents. Various schedules and shifts are available. We strive for flexibility with scheduling.
