Job Title: Mobile Engineer (Android) at Walmart Global Tech

We are seeking a skilled mobile engineer (specifically Android) to contribute to our team at Walmart Global Tech. Our focus is on disrupting the Health and Wellness space by creating top-notch products that cater to our customers' needs and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement features based on specifications
  • Contribute to quality assurance of implemented features
  • Ship features and monitor them in production
  • Collaborate with product and design teams
  • Work with other mobile teams for feature consistency
  • Coordinate with backend teams for API definition

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Android framework components and lifecycles
  • Knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning
  • Expertise in Java, Android SDK, and Gradle
  • Experience with Kotlin is a plus as we are transitioning to a Kotlin codebase
  • Proficiency in developing content-rich applications with Material Design
  • Familiarity with app architecture using design patterns like MVVM, MVP
  • Ability to prioritize testability and focus on test coverage
  • Passion for continuous learning and adoption of the latest Android features

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience or 5 years of relevant experience
