DCI Donor Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate In-House Recovery Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organ procurement organization, you will play a critical role in saving lives through organ and tissue donation.

Job Summary:

The In-House Recovery Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating patient suitability for organ donation, coordinating organ placement and allocation, and assisting in the surgical recovery of organs. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
  • Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
  • Assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics such as arranging transportation and preparing lab specimens for shipment.
  • Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve donation metrics, protocols, and policy.
  • Develop and present hospital educational programs and status reports based on strategic goals.
Requirements:
  • Two plus years of prior experience in a critical care setting.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Registered Nursing (RN) License.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
