As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Penn Medicine, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with top clinicians, technical experts, and business professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications, give injections, and read PPD results under the direction of registered nurses and doctors.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests, obtaining and testing specimens following standard operating procedures and documenting results.
  • Triages patient telephone encounters and includes provider when necessary.
  • Assists provider with surgical procedures, including positioning patients, maintaining a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing.
  • Prepares paperwork to complete patient visit and obtains and documents patient's vital signs as needed.
  • Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes, and checks instruments and equipment to ensure proper working order.
  • Maintains medication storage closets and participates in orienting new team members.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse Required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • H.S. Diploma/GED required; 1+ years outpatient experience preferred; Practice Nursing School required
