Opportunity Overview
The Feed Mill Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our feed production facilities. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of maintenance practices and the ability to manage the upkeep of various machinery and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee maintenance and repair tasks for machinery, including but not limited to:
- Screw conveyors
- Bucket belt elevators
- Drag conveyors
- Boilers
- Pellet mills
- Hammer mills
- VFD drives

2. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
3. Conduct daily maintenance activities and develop additional maintenance schedules as necessary.
4. Follow established operating procedures to perform maintenance tasks, including installation and adjustment of equipment.
5. Identify maintenance issues proactively and devise strategies to mitigate future problems and reduce downtime.

Preventative Maintenance
Develop and enhance a cost-effective Preventative Maintenance Program in collaboration with the maintenance supervisor to achieve management objectives. Ensure consistent guidelines for parts replacement and repair are communicated effectively.

Safety and Compliance
Promote a culture of safety by adhering to housekeeping practices and environmental regulations. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and report any environmental or safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma and at least one year of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing feed mill equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including solid-state circuitry and three-phase circuitry.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and electrical schematics.
- Experience with pneumatic and liquid systems maintenance.

Work Environment
This position involves exposure to various physical demands and environmental conditions, including:
- Risk of electrical shock
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling tasks.
- Tolerance for grain dust and chemical odors.
