We are looking for a talented and innovative Product Development Manager to enhance our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding in the design, development, and optimization of products from concept through to production. As a Product Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure our products uphold high standards of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Spearhead the design, development, and enhancement of products, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality benchmarks, and cost objectives.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create and assess prototypes, conduct tests to validate product concepts, and refine designs based on feedback and test outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and marketing, to align product development with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Solicit pricing from domestic and international vendors for new and existing products with potential upgrades.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance product design and manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and boost efficiency.
  • Documentation: Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and testing reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Partner with the quality assurance team to establish testing protocols and ensure products comply with all regulatory and quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, addressing product-related inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, product development, or a related capacity.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM).
    • Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the consumer products sector.
    • Logical approach to problem-solving.
    • Familiarity with Mass Merchant compliance standards (e.g., Walmart, Costco).
