We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Respiratory Therapy Department.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care modalities, therapies, and diagnostic testing, including oxygen therapies and medication delivery.
- Promptly complete documentation to ensure accurate legal records of services provided.
- Provide education to patients and their families.
- Process and provide various equipment necessary to carry out assigned duties, including diagnostic and ventilator support of patients.
- Must be a Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care Program and a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or considered Registry Eligible by the NBRC. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
- Experience: Employees are required to go through a 3 to 6 week orientation, depending on level of experience, for proper orientation to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- License(s)/Certification(s): Iowa Licensure - Obtained within 1 month from date of hire. Illinois License - Proof of completed and submitted application within the first week of employment. All employees must have their CRT credentialing and keep it Active per the NBRC standards. CPR Certification Required. ACLS/NRP/PEARS within 6 months from date of hire.
