Bar Attendant

Job Summary

The Bar Back is responsible for providing exceptional support to our bartenders and ensuring a seamless guest experience at Flamingo Bowl. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized bar area, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar area is well-stocked with liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies.
• Clean and maintain bar equipment, glassware, and utensils.
• Collect empty glasses and bottles and return them to the appropriate areas for cleaning.
• Restock ice and other supplies during busy periods.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing guest needs and requests.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Proactively ensure a clean and safe environment at all times.
• Maintain TABC certification and complete an approved food safety program within the required timeframe.
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs.

Requirements

Bar Backs must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, including respect for all individuals and solid communication skills. Bar Backs must be strong team players. Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety procedures and basic PC user skills are highly preferred. Must meet the minimum age required by company operating standards and state law to sell and serve alcohol.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years related experience. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with help and/or assistance.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
