Position Overview:
Executive Alliance is in search of a talented Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, systems, and equipment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of essential functions to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs electrical systems, components, and products tailored for aerospace and defense applications, adhering to customer specifications and relevant Military Standards.
- Creates schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and assembly drawings to facilitate the qualification and production phases of the design.
- Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to guarantee that all system form, fit, function, and safety standards are met.
- Leads engineering personnel in the development of test control apparatus and qualification/production test support equipment, establishing testing methods and conditions in line with system requirements.
- Oversees activities to ensure that manufacturing processes, construction, installation, and operational testing align with functional specifications and customer expectations.
- Coordinates repair assistance for production and field returns, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
- Works closely with quality assurance teams to enhance production testing procedures.
- Engages with purchasing and manufacturing departments to address obsolescence challenges and validate new sources.
- Prepares engineering change notices (ECNs) in accordance with configuration management standards.
- Manages the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
- Utilizes computer-aided engineering and design software to execute engineering tasks effectively.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in each essential duty. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited institution, or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
