Direct Care Professional

The Direct Care Staff member is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, communicating departmental expectations, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and state standards.
Key Responsibilities- Exemplify positive leadership by modeling desired behaviors and explaining them to residents.
- Provide direct supervision of residents, monitoring their environment and activities to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Meet residents' basic needs, teach life skills, and document daily progress.
- Implement safety protocols, provide crisis intervention, and maintain emotional self-control.
- Adhere to attendance policies, attend training sessions, and assist in other areas as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred 2-year degree or two years of college coursework in a related field.
- One year of experience and/or training in a human services field; preferred two or more years.
- Clean background check, TB test results, and drug test results; clear driving record; at least 21 years old.
