Position Overview: Orthopaedic Radiologic Technician
Location: Frederick, MD (satellite facility)

Licensure Requirements: Must hold a Radiology technologist license in the State of Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts radiologic examinations with precision.
  • Facilitates patient flow within the imaging department.
  • Ensures availability of necessary supplies.
  • Maintains equipment and organizes imaging records.
  • Utilizes PACS for film processing and management.
  • Registers imaging studies and patient information in PACS to ensure accurate billing.

Essential Duties:
  • Performs diagnostic imaging services by operating various imaging devices, positioning and immobilizing patients as required, calculating exposure parameters, and ensuring radiation safety.
  • Evaluates radiographs for quality and provides care for patients' physical and emotional needs during procedures.
  • Handles clerical tasks associated with the administrative functions of the imaging department.
  • Takes full ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Oversees the quality assurance for imaging services and adheres to all regulatory standards while maintaining equipment logs.
  • Coordinates time off and ensures coverage to maintain clinical operations.
  • Engages in continuous professional education.
