The primary objective of this position is to restore and refinish mobile and stationary equipment to a high standard. This hourly, non-exempt role operates under direct and indirect supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform all essential tasks safely and efficiently.
- Assess vehicle damage to determine the extent and type of repair required.
- Utilize necessary tools to proficiently perform painting and repairing processes on mobile and stationary equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment, if necessary, to complete painting projects.
- Apply decals, transfers, stencils, and other identification to finished paint work.
- Ensure the quality of work meets company and industry standards.
- Maintain company equipment in good working order.
- Work extended hours, including night shifts, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- Familiarity with methods, materials, and equipment used in automotive painting.
- Understanding of stationary and mobile equipment.
- Basic mechanical concepts.
- Welding principles.
- Familiarity with lifts, scaffolding, and other equipment used in the painting process.
- Personal protective equipment knowledge.
- Commitment to ongoing personal growth and development.
- Prefer completion of formalized training in automotive collision repair and painting.
- Must possess necessary tools to complete assigned projects.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum three years of body repair/painting experience preferred. Mechanical experience is a plus. Heavy equipment repair and operations is a plus.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
