Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse at the Rescue Mission of Utica, you will play a vital role in providing clinical care to individuals struggling with chemical dependency. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients for admission to our stabilization service and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with medical doctors and nurse practitioners to obtain and transcribe orders.
  • Administer and assist with medication refill, providing education to clients as needed.
  • Monitor clients' withdrawal processes and medical conditions, taking prompt action in emergency situations.
  • Document client progress and incidents, adhering to NYS OASAS regulations.
  • Supervise staff performance, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to scope of practice.
  • Participate in daily treatment team meetings and quality management discussions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure and registration from the NYS Education Department.
  • At least one year of management and supervisory experience, preferably in substance abuse treatment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Clean/valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

Per diem scheduling with Saturdays 8am-4pm, competitive pay rate of $35.00/hour, and a dynamic work environment.
